GMED 5023 - Pulmonary Diseases Consult
Grade Mode: Normal, Audit
Prerequisite: MED 5000, This elective is designed to provide experience in consultative pulmonary medicine. Emphasis is placed upon the clinical evaluation of patients with altered lung function, and the appropriate use of both invasive and noninvasive pulmonary diagnostic procedures. The student will gain experience in interpretation of chest roentgenograms, pulmonary function tests, and arterial blood gases. Selected pulmonary topics are covered in the weekly pulmonary conference.
