SOCI 4462 - Urban Social Problems
A sociological consideration of metropolitan social problems, including crime, fiscal crisis, housing and the homeless, poverty, racism, health, education, and social inequality. Emphasis will be placed on the critical analysis of contemporary urban social problems, their causes, consequences, solutions, and social policy implications. Prerequisite(s): SOCI 1101 or SOCI 1103/PSYC 1103; SOCI 3002 or 3003;and SOCI 3380.
