SOCI 3320 - Sociology of Aging
An introduction to the elderly as members of society and the social institutions which impact on their lives and which the elderly helped to shape and currently influence. Covers theoretical perspectives on aging, the individual and the social system, adjustment patterns and changing lifestyles in old age, relevant societal issues, current trends, opportunities, and challenges. Prerequisite(s): SOCI 1101 or SOCI 1103/PSYC 1103; SOCI 1160.
