Master of Arts in Teaching with a Concentration in Middle Grades Education

Certification Requirements:

• SPED 4002 - Instructional Strategies for Teaching Students with Disabilities in General Education Settings: 3

Successful completion of State Certification Exams.

Program Requirements:

State Certification Exam must be taken by the end of the first semester in the program to continue in the program.

15 hours of undergraduate content in each concentration area are required, with at least 9 of those hours at the junior (3000) level or higher. Areas of content weakness will be addressed as prerequisites.

State Certification Exams in both content areas must be passed prior to practicum.
