EDTD 5275 - Introduction to Literacy Assessment



This course will examine reading and writing difficulties encountered in the classroom. It will emphasize diagnostic/prescriptive teaching through experience with informal diagnostic assessment tools. Students will then use results of these assessments to design and implement tutoring for children. Special emphasis will be placed on incorporating family literacy. A 25-hour field experience in P-12 is required for this course.
